Engine problems?

I guess you mean the Top Dead Centre Sensor?
It’s located on top of the gearbox casing where it meets the engine block, It is held in by two 10mm bolts and has a two wire connector plugged into it, removing the air-box helps.

Are you having starting issues – remember it can also be plug, leads, coil pack, etc…(I had the coil pack go on mine recently – it had done 66k and Renault are prone to these going…)

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for dropping by and posting – the easiest way on an E71 to find your current firmware is by typing *#0000# into your keypad.

You can also download the Nokia suite and software upgrade tool, connect to your phone via USB (for software & firmware I would stay away from any wireless communications such as Bluetooth) and re-load the firmware and software on that way.

I believe the current level of firmware is 200.21.118 (27-11-2008 RM-346) – I updated mine only a couple of days ago, very simple (automated) to do – please ensure you backup your current phone configuration first (yes, boring and time consuming I know – worth it if it all goes wrong!).
